Clown Ministry News
Messiah’s Clown Ministry Troupe Fools for Christ will be presenting a Service of Mime and Celebration at Messiah Feb 25 and 26th at each service. The clown service is done in
pantomime through the art of Christian Clowning.
The service is very powerful and brings the Gospel of Jesus alive in a unique way. The sermon will be “ Homeless” based on Matthew 25: 35-40. The youth will be having several
rehearsals in the next few weeks in order to be able to do our best for Jesus .
We will have some fun time as we will have a lock- in following Saturdays service. We will share a meal then have some fun activities that evening. The youth, my brother and I will be up
early on Sunday morning Feb 26 to have breakfast and put on our own make -up, to be ready for the 8:00 A.M. service.
Each person in the clown troupe puts on their own make up and designs their own clown character. Sometimes they change either their make-up or character for each service. Yet
sometimes like my character they remain the same for years. It is what makes the troupe so unique and in constant change to do our best for God’s glory. While the service might seem the same it
is different each and every time we present one. Simply because I never know where the Holy Spirit will lead us .
The youth are excited to be sharing their gifts with the congregation as well as using the gifts God has given each one of them. Not many youth will give their time on a Saturday
morning in preparation for worship. Not to mention give most of their week end to share the Gospel. It is a wonderful commitment to God.
Please tell your friends and bring a guest to church Feb 25 and 26th. Invite them to see what a group of well rounded teenagers can share with them as they clown around for Jesus with the
congregation of Messiah Lutheran Church.
