Dear Ladies of the Prayer Shawl Group,

Thank you for the lovely prayer shawl created by Mary Jane Phillips. I will use it daily as I pray for friends and family who are struggling with life issues– illness, unemployment, health, personal and for continued blessings from God.  May God bless all of you as you continue in this wonderful ministry.

Elaine Alexander

To Elaine Alexander and the Prayer Shawl ladies,

Thank you for the beautiful shawl. It brings tears to my eyes each time I look at it and put it around my shoulders. I know lots of love and prayers went into its creation.  Sincerely and fondly,

Mildred Klindworth

Dear Messiah Lutheran Church Endowment Fund Committee,

Thank you so much for the Endowment Committee’s approval of the seminary’s October 2011 grant proposal. The Endowment Fund’s grant of $8,000.00 dollars was a cause for celebration here at the seminary. Your help came at just the right time and was much more than we had hoped for!

As outlined in the seminary’s grant proposal., we will use the Endowment Fund’s grant directly in seminary classrooms. Your help will provide professors and learning materials for classrooms during the remaining weeks of the fall semester Because of help like yours, those who will become servant leaders in the church will be able to learn form some of the best minds in theological education. The lessons that you have helped provide will go with seminary graduates into God’s vineyard. The students you are touching today will touch thousands of people in the years to come through ministry with God’s people.

O behalf of all who labor here at your seminary, I pray God’s blessings on all that you endeavor to do for the name of Jesus Christ,

 Sincerely in Christ,

Ron Walrath,  Vice President for Development
